EngineAI has released new footage of its T800 humanoid robot after critics on social media questioned the authenticity of an earlier demonstration video. In response to the doubts, CEO Zhao Tongyang shared a new clip on X showing himself wearing protective padding while the robot delivered a forceful kick, knocking him to the ground. The original report noted that “CEO Zhao Tongyang suited up in thick padding to take kicks from his humanoid in a newly posted tweet.”

The T800, unveiled on Dec. 2, 2025, stands 1.73 metres tall and features a magnesium–aluminium alloy frame with 29 degrees of freedom across its major joints and seven degrees of freedom per hand. The robot weighs 75 kg and is powered by a modular solid-state lithium battery, offering up to four hours of operation per charge, according to the company.

EngineAI says each leg motor is capable of producing up to 450 N·m of torque, supported by a peak joint power of 14 kW. The hands can lift up to 5 kg and are equipped with tactile sensors. A 360-degree LIDAR system enables the robot to navigate around people and objects while moving at speeds of up to 3 m/s.

The humanoid’s computing system integrates an Intel N97 processor with an Nvidia AGX Orin 64GB AI module, allowing it to perform tasks ranging from martial arts-style movements to industrial work in warehouses. The company is offering multiple configurations, with pricing starting at 180,000 yuan for the Base model and rising to 50,000 dollars for the flagship Max version.

EngineAI recently completed additional Series A1+ and A2 funding rounds, following its initial one-billion-yuan investment used to support a team of more than 150 engineers. Deliveries for pre-ordered units on JD.com, secured with a 700-dollar deposit, are scheduled for June 2026.
