Google announced the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold alongside the Pixel Watch 4 series at its Made by Google event in Brooklyn on August 20.
The foldable model is positioned against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, with improvements in durability, display technology and AI features.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold introduces a gearless hinge that Google says is twice as durable as its predecessor and is the first foldable to receive an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The device is built with aerospace-grade aluminium and will be available in Moonstone and Jade. It features a 6.4-inch cover screen and an 8-inch Super Actua Flex OLED inner display, both capable of 3,000 nits brightness. Reinforced glass has been added to enhance durability.
Powered by the Tensor G5 processor, the foldable integrates AI functions such as Gemini Live, Magic Cue and Daily Hub. The handset includes a 5,015 mAh battery, offering more capacity than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, with support for 30W wired charging and Qi2 wireless charging via Google’s Pixelsnap accessories.
The rear triple-camera setup is led by a 48MP main sensor with Macro Focus, a 10.8MP 5x telephoto lens supporting 20x Super Res Zoom, and a 10.5MP ultrawide. The device also includes two 10MP selfie cameras, one embedded in the inner screen and another on the cover display.
