Nintendo said it will add two classic Bandai Namco titles, Mr. Driller 2 and Klonoa: Empire of Dreams, to its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service from Sept. 25, 2025.

The new games will be available exclusively through the higher-tier Expansion Pack membership, which already offers more than 20 Game Boy Advance titles as well as selections from the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis libraries.

Mr. Driller 2, first launched in Japanese arcades in 2000 before its Game Boy Advance port in 2001, is a puzzle game where players drill through colored blocks while managing limited air supplies. It was released in Western markets four years later.

Klonoa: Empire of Dreams was released in 2001 as a Game Boy Advance exclusive. The 2D platformer spans 40 stages, featuring puzzle-solving mechanics and collectible items. The game received strong reviews on release, including high scores from both Japanese and Western publications.

The announcement follows a major update to the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics app earlier this month. The version 3.0.0 patch introduced customizable button remapping, higher 1080p resolution support on the Switch 2, and a boot-up animation emulating the original GBA startup sequence.
