The process of acquiring Activision Blizzard by Microsoft has indeed attracted the attention of many people. This is because many are worried that various game titles from the company will no longer be able to be played on competitor consoles.
One of the most talked about games is Call of Duty. This is natural, considering the gamer base on the Xbox competitor platform, namely the PlayStation, cannot be underestimated.
This concern is not unfounded. Because, Microsoft has pulled some games, such as Elder Scrolls 6, which will not be present on the PlayStation console and will be exclusive titles for Xbox.
But, for those of you users of the PlayStation 5 platform, you seem to be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Because, Xbox boss Phil Spencer ensured that the game would not be an exclusive game, as quoted from Ubergizmo (23/1).
“Microsoft will honor all agreements that Activision had prior to the completion of this acquisition process,” said Spencer.
However, this doesn’t mean Microsoft is forever providing CoD franchise support on their opposing platforms. But, if they really see this as a business, then they can milk gamers on their competitors’ platforms to increase profits.
