Asus has launched its ROG Raikiri II gaming controller for global sale, bringing a high-end gamepad aimed at competitive players to major retailers, including Amazon, following its public debut at gamescom last year.
The controller is priced at $189 and is compatible with PC, Xbox consoles and the Asus ROG Xbox Ally. Asus said the handheld device benefits from two additional buttons, while the controller itself features a total of four customizable rear buttons designed to expand input options.

Asus said the Raikiri II uses microswitches rather than traditional membrane buttons to deliver more precise inputs and clearer tactile feedback. The same technology is applied to the triggers, which allow users to shorten actuation travel for faster response in action-heavy titles. According to Asus, the controller is designed to offer “particularly precise inputs and clearly defined feedback.”
The triggers and analog sticks are based on tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) technology, which the company says enables near-analog input detection and helps prevent stick drift. On PC, the controller supports a polling rate of up to 1,000 Hz, while Xbox support is capped at 250 Hz.

The Raikiri II ships with a carrying case that doubles as a charging solution via an included charging station, along with two interchangeable joystick caps. Asus said the controller can last up to 50 hours on a single charge when features such as RGB lighting and vibration are disabled, and it supports wired USB, 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity.
