Sony has introduced a new color option for its WH-1000XM6 over-ear wireless headphones, expanding the lineup without increasing the original retail price. The update comes alongside the global release of the company’s WF-1000XM6 earbuds, marking a broader refresh of its premium audio portfolio.
The WH-1000XM6, first launched in May 2025, was initially available in Black, Midnight Blue and Platinum Silver. With the addition of a Sand Pink finish, Sony is extending the color range nearly a year after the model’s debut.

The new variant features a deeper pink tone compared with the Smoky Pink finish previously offered on the WH-1000XM5. As noted in the original report, the new colorway has “a far deeper pink hue than the Smoky Pink finish,” and Sony has chosen to market it as Sand Pink rather than simply Pink.
Functionally, the Sand Pink version remains identical to other WH-1000XM6 models. Pricing is unchanged at £399 in the United Kingdom, €369 across the Eurozone and $399.99 in the United States. The headphones are available globally from February 12 through Sony’s direct sales channels and third-party retailers.

The addition of the new finish aligns the WH-1000XM6 more closely with previous color expansions seen in Sony’s headphone lineup, while maintaining the same feature set and specifications as existing variants.
