Decathlon has introduced the Btwin E-Three 500 across several European markets, positioning the model as the successor to the Btwin (formerly Elops) R500E. The electric cargo bicycle features an upgraded battery and revised specifications aimed at extending riding range and utility.
The E-Three 500 is equipped with an 8-speed drivetrain and a motor delivering 60 Nm of torque. Riders can select from Eco, Normal and Boost assistance modes, with support capped at 25 kph (16 mph) in line with European regulations. The bike carries a 711 Wh battery, offering an estimated range of up to 82 km in Eco mode when unloaded, 65 km in Normal mode unloaded and around 50 km in Normal mode when carrying cargo.

“The new Decathlon Btwin E-Three 500 is an 8-speed e-bike powered by a 60 Nm motor,” the original announcement stated, outlining the core drivetrain setup. Additional components include a Suunto suspension fork with 75 mm of travel and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors. The bike uses a mixed wheel configuration with 20-inch and 26-inch tires.
Designed for cargo transport, the model supports a maximum payload of 170 kg, including up to 80 kg on the rear rack and 10 kg at the front. It is compatible with B’Clip accessories for attaching panniers and baskets, and comes fitted with features such as an integrated wheel lock, 60 lux headlight, handlebar-mounted display, fenders, skirt guard and bell. Weighing approximately 39 kg, the e-bike is offered in Abyss Blue, Sorbet Green and Taupe Pink.

The Btwin E-Three 500 is now available in countries including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France, priced at £2,799.99 or €2,499.99 depending on the market.
