Google is reportedly preparing to release the official version of Android 13. Currently, Android 13 Beta 4 version has been released by the company globally for certain users.
Director of Android Developer Relations, Maru Ahues Bouza said the official version of Android 13 would be released in the next few weeks. The final update, which is Android 13 Beta 4 version, is said to only be able to be tried by users of Google Pixel devices and selected other smartphone series.
“Only a few weeks from the official release of Android 13. Right now, we are giving the finishing touches to the next Android version,” said Bouza, quoted from the Android Developers Blog (15/7).
Android 13 Beta 4 version was officially released on July 13, 2022 as the last update provided by Google. This version is presented so that developers can do final testing and development on their applications taking into account the new version of the Android operating system that will be released soon.
Broadly speaking, testing on Android 13 Beta 4 version is intended to ensure existing applications are compatible with the new operating system. In this update, there are several features that are also presented, such as privacy features related to notification permissions and automatic photo picker.
Basically, all the systems used for the app have been completed on the previous Beta version update. For that, Android 13 Beta 4 version comes with fixes to bugs and problems that have been reported by the testers. GSMArena says this update should be the most stable version of the pre-release software.
The official and stable version of the Android 13 operating system is promised to be launched in the coming weeks. However, in the Android blog post, Google has not revealed the date details regarding the launch of their latest operating system.
