Based on a submission from kopite7kimi, NVIDIA’s latest GPU will have two versions, namely GA106-150 with 2560 CUDA Cores paired with 8GB GGDR6 VRAM and GA106-140 with 2304 CUDA Cores and 4GB GDDR6 VRAM.
Unfortunately, until now, kopite7kimi and Videocardz have not found more detailed specifications regarding the RTX 3050 8GB or 4GB.
Videocardz also speculates that NVIDIA will announce their “budget” GPU on January 4. Keep in mind that the news above is still just a rumor, because NVIDIA itself could discourage them from presenting the 2 GPU variants above.
So it seems that for gamers who really hope for the presence of an entry-level GPU from NVIDIA, you have to be patient until January 4th while waiting for an official announcement from NVIDIA.
