Surprisingly, Samsung disabled automatic fast charging technology on the Galaxy S21 series. But don’t worry, for Galaxy S21 users, you can reactivate fast charging mode.

You can easily change it by going to Settings, so the Mobile Team will explain to you how to do it in this article.

The most likely reason for faster charging being disabled, is to save your long battery life. And if you’re using a non-Samsung 25W charger, you’ll need to activate it.

If you use a different charger, such as the 18W charger, it is certain that your Galaxy S21 charges very slowly. This may be why. We came across this issue while working on our review of the Galaxy S21 Ultra and found out why.

Here’s how to enable fast charging on the Galaxy S21 series:

    1. First, open Settings.
    2. Then tap on “Battery and device maintenance”.
    3. From there, tap on “Battery”.
    4. At the bottom of that screen, you will see an option for “More battery settings” tap on that.

Later on the screen you will see three charger options. Consists of the default, the first to be shown, namely fast charging. While super fast charging and fast wireless charging are enabled by default. Just tap the switch next to “Fast Charging” to enable instant charging.

This will be necessary if you are not using a Samsung 25W charger. If you’re using a slow charger like a 20W or 18W charger, you’ll need to activate it, or you’ll be waiting too long for the battery to charge.

Many have complained that, strangely, this technology is closed by default. Still can also help save your battery life over time. Because fast charging can damage the battery very quickly.
