Now, almost any smartphone can be used to play games. Ranging from light games to moderately heavy like MOBAs, heavy games can cause the device temperature to rise significantly. Razer Phone Cooler Chroma comes as the easiest solution, especially for the latest iPhone series.

Yes, the Razer brand itself is better known by gamers. Not only releasing laptops and Android smartphones specifically for gaming needs, this California-based vendor is trying to present a complete solution. Starting from computer accessories such as headphones and keyboards, to things that might seem casual like smartphone coolers.

However, the limitations of physical dimensions make gaming smartphones like ROG Phone 5s even accompanied by an additional cooling fan. Moreover, smartphones with thinner body designs such as the iPhone 13 series, as well as several other Android flagships.

From the name itself, you can guess the main function and differentiation offered by this latest game accessory. Razer Phone Cooler Chroma has a single function, namely as a smartphone body cooler. While the word “chroma” indicates that Razer has equipped this product with RGB lights, which can be further personalized.

There are two main variants to choose from, where the difference is only in the way it is attached to a smartphone. The Razer Phone Cooler Chroma MagSafe version is equipped with a magnet, so it can be attached directly to the back of the iPhone 12 Series and above. No need to use adhesive or anything else. So what about the older iPhone series?

There is an additional variant of the Razer Phone Cooler Chroma Universal Clamp, which has clamps on the top and bottom sides, similar to attaching a smartphone to a monopod or camera tripod. Yes, there is no 3M adhesive option provided by Razer, perhaps to make it more practical and not leave marks when not in use. Supports smartphones with a width of 67 – 88mm.

Each Razer Phone Cooler Chroma unit is reinforced with seven fan blades, which can spin up to a speed of 6400 rpm. It is claimed to be quite quiet, which is in the range of 30dB, users can adjust the intensity of the fan rotation speed from the smartphone. via a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection and special applications that need to be installed.

The application also allows Razer Phone Cooler Chroma users to customize their RGB lights (which are 12 LEDs). What about the resources? Without a battery, the bottom is equipped with a USB-C port, which can be plugged into various types of power sources. Included LED light as power status and pairing with the device.

The two Razer Phone Cooler Chroma variants are sold at the same price, which is USD 59.99  The smartphone cooling fan isn’t the most ‘cheesy’ or simple accessory Razer has ever released.
