Wearable brand Amazfit has introduced the Helio Arm Band, an accessory designed to reposition its Helio Strap fitness tracker from the wrist to the upper arm. The product is now available in the United States and the United Kingdom, with broader international availability expected in the near future.
According to Amazfit, the new positioning can “deliver cleaner, more consistent readings,” as it places the BioTracker sensor closer to the heart. The company also notes that upper arm placement may reduce signal interference caused by wrist movement, such as flexion and extension, while providing a potentially more comfortable fit for some users.
The black arm band is made from a soft-touch, quick-drying nylon material and measures 22 mm wide and 410 mm in length. It is designed to fit arms with a circumference between 9.8 and 16.5 inches. A Velcro strap provides adjustable sizing and is designed to remain secure during high-intensity activity.
The accessory allows for easy transition between wrist and arm usage. Users can detach the sensor from the Helio Strap’s central holder and click it into the arm band with the sensor facing downward.
The Helio Arm Band is priced at $14.99 in the U.S. and £14.90 in the U.K. Amazfit has not yet announced a timeline for launch in other markets or the availability of additional color options for the Helio Strap.
