After opening orders for the MacBook Air M2 at the Apple Online Store, Apple is quietly selling new accessories for the Mac computer.

The accessory in question is a USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable with a new color.

Yes, these accessories are now sold in 4 colors that match the MacBook Air M2 body. Namely Space Gray, Silver, Midnight and Starlight.

This cable is useful for charging the battery in the MacBook Air M2 or MacBook Pro 2021 with a size of 14 inches or 16 inches.

The accessories use magnetic MagSafe technology as the main connector to Mac computers.

This technology has previously been used by Apple on MacBooks and MacBook Pros since early 2006 and was discontinued when it released the 12-inch MacBook in 2015 which switched to a USB-C port for charging.

Now Apple is back using MagSafe with the code name MagSafe 3 connector which uses the first end of the cable design in the form of a magnetic MagSafe and the other end is USB-C to be connected to the power adapter.

With a charger cable design that uses MagSafe, this battery charging cable can be firmly attached to the Mac, but can be released automatically when pulled tightly or the cable trips for example.

In addition, MagSafe 3 also uses a USB-C end, which means you can buy a separate Power Adapter with more power to charge the battery faster.

This 2-meter charge cable features a magnetic MagSafe 3 connector that helps guide the plug to the charging port of your Mac notebook. Pair it with a compatible USB-C power adapter to conveniently charge your notebook from a wall outlet and take advantage of fast-charging capabilities. The magnetic connection is strong enough to resist most unintended disconnects, but if someone trips on the cable, it releases so your Mac notebook stays put.

The new color MagSafe 3 cable accessory retails for $49 at the US Apple Online Store. If converted to Rupiah, the price is around 725 thousand Rupiah.

In addition to a MagSafe 3 cable in a MacBook Air-like color, Apple recently also sold a new 35W Dual USB-C Power Adapter at the Apple Online Store.
