Asus is preparing an updated version of its flagship ROG Swift OLED gaming monitor after details of the new PG32UCDM3 appeared prematurely on the company’s website, signalling a refresh of the high-end display for 2026.

The original ROG Swift PG32UCDM was among the first 32-inch gaming monitors to feature a 240-hertz QD-OLED panel, and the successor largely retains its design and core specifications. According to information spotted by VideoCardz, the PG32UCDM3 remains a 31.5-inch monitor with 4K resolution, a 240-hertz refresh rate and a 0.03-millisecond response time, alongside the familiar illuminated ROG branding.

The most notable change is the introduction of a feature Asus calls “Black Shield,” designed to reduce reflections and improve contrast in brighter environments. The company says the coating makes blacks appear significantly darker in daylight and improves scratch resistance. The monitor is also certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, offering sustained brightness of at least 300 nits and peak HDR brightness of 500 nits.

Connectivity has also been upgraded. In addition to USB-C with 90-watt power delivery and HDMI 2.1, the new model adds DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20, increasing bandwidth to 80 Gbps from the previous DisplayPort 1.4 standard. Asus has also included a “Neo Proximity Sensor” that can automatically dim the display when the user steps away, helping reduce power consumption and the risk of OLED burn-in.

Asus has not yet formally announced pricing or availability for the PG32UCDM3, but the early listing suggests a full reveal is imminent. The company said the upgrades are aimed at refining image quality and usability rather than overhauling the monitor’s core performance, describing the new features as enhancements to an already established flagship design.
