BioShock is confirmed to be adapted into a live action film. Video on demand platform Netflix confirmed it was working on the project.
This news was announced by the official Netflix Geeked account on Twitter.
“We all make choices, but ultimately it’s those choices that define us. Netflix + BioShock, would you kindly stay tuned?” wrote the Netflix Geeked account.
The sentence “would you kindly…” written by the Netflix Geeked account is a typical sentence in the BioShock game.

In the BioShock storyline, that sentence becomes a “spell” that can make Jack – the main character in BioShock – follow orders without arguing. Jack himself is told as a character who has been genetically engineered since childhood.
Through its official page, Netflix said that the company is working with game publishers BioShock, namely 2K and Take-Two Interactive in working on this project.
The production of this live action film will also be assisted by Vertigo Entertainment, which has produced many film adaptations, such as Lego Batman Movie and Death Note.
Based on a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Saturday (19/2/2022), the live action film BioShock, which will air on Netflix, has been in the works for almost a year. Netflix did not say when the film is targeted for release.

Not yet known in detail which actors will play in the film. So did the screenwriter and director of the film.
Bioshock itself was first released in 2007 on Xbox 360 and PC. Then it came to the PlayStation 3 (PS3) console in 2008.
BioShock has sold over 39 million copies worldwide, and is recognized as one of the most loved games due to its strong storyline.
The success of the game was followed by a sequel in 2010 and also a third game in 2013 entitled Bioshock Infinite.
This is not the first time BioShock will be made to the big screen. In 2009, plans to make a live action film BioShock also appeared. However, the plan failed due to a budget constraint.
