After what happened with Diablo Immortal, it's not surprising that many Diablo fans are worried that the mechanics of the mobile game, especially for monetization, will be brought by Blizzard to the next Diablo series – Diablo IV.
The latest Diablo series, which is planned for the console and PC markets, has indeed shared many gameplay videos, which so far look beautiful and promising. This situation makes Blizzard inevitably have to continue to emphasize one thing – Diablo IV will not be a Pay to Win game!
In his latest update, Game Director – Joe Shely reiterated that Diablo IV is not a pay-to-win game. Indeed, they will introduce the concept of microtransactions in it, but it can only be used to buy cosmetic-smelling content.
Blizzard will also provide a preview mode for each of these cosmetic items so that gamers can see firsthand the appearance effect and not have to deal with something that ends up disappointing them. Some of these cosmetic items called Blizzard will indeed look strong and rocky, but will have no effect at all in the game.
Diablo IV itself is planned to be released in 2023, still without an exact date, for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and of course – PC. How about you? Object to the microtransactions system containing cosmetic items like this?
