Taiwan-based gaming accessory maker Brook has launched a new model of its Wingman FGC series in the United States, expanding platform support for competitive fighting game players with the addition of PlayStation 4 compatibility.
The Brook Wingman FGC VX, which debuted in Japan in July 2025, became available in the U.S. market in December. The converter allows players to use arcade sticks and wired controllers across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms, addressing what Brook describes as ongoing platform barriers in the competitive fighting game scene.

The new model builds on the performance of the previous Wingman FGC2, retaining ultra-low input latency while broadening device support. Brook said the VX is designed to let players reuse existing controllers without software installation, supporting more than 150 wired arcade sticks and pads from major manufacturers.
Brook’s converters remain the only adapters officially approved for use at EVO, the world’s largest fighting game tournament. According to the company, “the Wingman FGC VX breaks down the ‘platform barrier’, offering a definitive solution for today’s competitive scene.”

The device includes an EVO-compliant restricted mode that disables advanced features such as turbo and macros during tournament play, alongside optional customization settings for non-competitive use. Firmware updates are also supported to extend compatibility over time.
Priced at $71.99 in the United States, the Wingman FGC VX is positioned as a multi-platform solution for both professional and casual fighting game players, as Brook continues to expand its presence in the global esports accessories market.
