Activision, the developer of the Call of Duty game, announced that it is developing two major initiatives for the game in 2022.
One of the initiatives in question is the sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which was first released in 2019. Then, another initiative is the new Warzone experience.
According to an Activision blog post, these two initiatives will be designed together from the ground up.
Citing The Verge, Tuesday (15/2/2022), it’s not clear so far whether this new Warzone experience is a full sequel or a major update like the changes to Fortnite.
Activision did not immediately comment when asked for clarification. Nevertheless, Activision Blizzard promises some big things.
“You can expect a massive evolution of battle royale with new playrooms and sandbox modes and a new engine that will support new Call of Duty games or Warzone,” said Activision.
