Clair Health has introduced a wrist-worn device designed to track hormone levels continuously, positioning it as a complement to smartwatches that largely focus on cardiovascular and activity metrics.

Most mainstream wearables, such as recent models from Samsung and others, monitor indicators including heart rate, blood oxygen, ECG and skin temperature. Clair Health argues that these measurements leave a gap in understanding hormonal changes, which can play a key role in athletic performance, fertility and menstrual health.

According to the company, its wristband can detect estrogen, progesterone, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), allowing users to see how hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day. The data is intended to improve menstrual cycle predictions compared with smartwatch-based estimates that rely primarily on skin temperature. The company says the system can also identify fertility windows and provide insights into training intensity based on estrogen trends.

“Hormones influence everything from performance to fertility, yet they are largely invisible in today’s wearables,” the company said in product materials describing the device’s purpose and target audience, which includes athletes, women in menopause and those planning pregnancy.

Clair Health has not disclosed technical details on how hormone measurements are obtained, nor has it announced pricing or a launch date. The company said users who sign up on its website will receive a 50% discount at release and lifetime free access to the companion app, while advising potential buyers to look for independent validation of the technology’s accuracy once available.
