DJI has begun rolling out software updates for its FPV headsets, enhancing the flight experience with Navigation-enabled flight control software (INAV) support.
The update, available globally, brings real-time telemetry data and improved flight planning options to DJI’s Goggles 2, Goggles 3, and Goggles Integra.
The new firmware does not modify the drones themselves but improves functionality for FPV models like the DJI Avata, Avata 2, and the more affordable DJI Neo.
With INAV integration, pilots can view live telemetry, including battery life, GPS coordinates, and altitude, directly in their headsets. Additionally, users can create flight plans before takeoff, streamlining their experience.
To install the update, users must ensure they are running DJI Fly app version 1.16.0 or higher. After completing the firmware update, DJI recommends restarting the drone, goggles, and remote, as some settings, including Maximum Flight Distance and Return-to-Home altitude, may reset to default.
