After introducing a laptop from recycled materials through the Aspire Vero (AV15-51) in October 2021 ago, Acer again introduced a laptop in collaboration with National Geographic.
This laptop with the same appearance carried by the Aspire Vero (AV15-51) carries a special design for environmental issues as well as the National Geographic logo.
The Aspire Vero X National Geographic Edition also carries the same design as the Aspire Vero A Green PC which has a textured surface of beeswax or honeycomb.
The National Geographic edition of the Aspire Vero is made of recycled Post-Consumer-Recycled (PCR) plastic that is attached to the chassis of the laptop body so that when touched by the user, it will feel a smooth texture.
The PCR composition on this laptop includes 30 percent PCR Materials and 50 percent PCR Keycaps. What distinguishes it from the Aspire Vero version of A Green PC is the back design of the screen which includes the National Geographic logo at the bottom.
Then at the top there are images such as maps or topographic details that indicate the surface of the land and sea as well as reminding them to protect the environment for the sustainability of the earth.
In addition, this National Geographic edition laptop also provides screws that are easily removed by the user for the needs of RAM or SSD upgrades, repairs, and recycling. On the keyboard has a characteristic in the form of a signature yellow R and E keys.
This laptop has a 15.6-inch display that supports Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS panel, Acer ComfyView LED-backlit TFT LCD, and 16:9 aspect ratio.
The inside of the innards relies on the Intel Core i5-1155G7 chipset which is accompanied by an Intel Iris Xe graphics card. The chipset is also combined with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD internal storage.
This laptop uses the Windows 11 Home operating system and for every buyer will get a free Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021. Other supporting features have been provided such as a fingerprint scanner, USB type C port, two USB type A ports, power-off charging, and Wi-Fi 6.
To save and optimize device use, don’t forget that this laptop is equipped with the VeroSense application to maintain energy efficiency through three modes.
The three modes will help users reduce carbon emissions and save electricity usage, which include Performance, Balanced, Eco, and Eco+ modes.
