Luxury smartwatch manufacturer, Tag Heuer has released two new smartwatch models that are expected to attract the attention of the luxury market.

The Tag Heuer Connected Caliber E4 comes in two variants, namely 42 mm and 45 mm models, respectively. Despite the size, there are several design features that set the two models apart from each other.

Tag Heuer has pioneered the luxury smartwatch brand with the Carrera Connected, as well as several other smartwatch models, but this latest pair of models doesn't have much in common with its predecessors.

The 45mm model comes with different options in terms of its casing, and straps to cater to the design choices of different segments of the smartwatch market.

On the other hand, the 42 mm model comes in a single version with a casing made of polished steel, although several strap options are available.

Reporting from Gizmochina (12/2), the Connected Caliber E4 display 45 mm model has a 1.39-inch OLED panel and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor.

The smartwatch runs on top of Google's Wear 2 operating system and is eligible for the next update to Wear OS 3 later this year when the new operating system launches.

The Connected Caliber E4 45 mm smartwatch is equipped with a heart rate sensor, NFC for mobile payments, altimeter, compass and GPS. The 430 mAh battery can offer the wearable a full day of use, including up to five hours of tracking.

The processor, software and other hardware features are the same for the 42 mm model, but the battery is smaller at 330 mAh.
