Lens manufacturer Tokina has officially announced the presence of the SZ 8mm F2.8 lens. This new fisheye lens will be available for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors.
The Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 comes with very compact dimensions. The body length is about 52mm. It is also very light in weight. Only 280 grams. So, very space-saving and easy to travel with.
The Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 design consists of eleven lens elements in eight groups. Entered in the fish eye lens category, the Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 promises a very wide shot with a unique distortion effect. You can also still use it to shoot up close.

The minimum focus distance of this lens is about 10 cm. With the aperture of the F/2.8 lens, this lens can still be relied on to take pictures in low light conditions.
Unfortunately, the Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 only supports manual focus settings. Tokina also equips it with a clickless adjustment ring for aperture setting which is ideal for video shooting. This makes it perfect for taking photos or videos.

For compatibility, the Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 is currently only available for Fujifilm X-Mount and Sony E-mount cameras.
