As with all international businesses, especially those that present physical products as selling materials, figuring out how to distribute products as effectively and as best as possible is of course a challenge in itself.
Not a few even go straight to building compounding plants or simply builders in countries that have proven to be big markets to make this process easier. For Nintendo right now, the key lies in one word – packaging.
What should Nintendo do to ensure Switch distribution is more efficient than it is today? The answer will be in the packaging. Based on a report from the business site – Nikkei, Nintendo is reportedly going to shrink the Nintendo Switch box up to 20% smaller than its previous size.
Although the new box shape is yet to be seen, it is seen as a solution to increase the supply of Switches globally, by ensuring more units can be carried/distributed per transport. This policy has reportedly started in August 2022.
