In a recent report from the NPD, which is summarized to November 2021, shows an interesting data. As it turned out, Forza Horizon 5 made a pretty good achievement.
This report details video game sales, including full game, DLC/MTX, and subscriptions in the United States. In the report, Forza Horizon 5 is said to have set a new Forza franchise record for sales during the first month after launch.
The game was billed as the fourth highest-grossing game last month, right behind giants such as Call of Duty: Vanguard (#1), Battlefield 2042 (#2), and Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl (#3). Reporting from the Wccftech page (15/12), the Xbox platform, Forza Horizon 5 is in third place.

And what's interesting is that despite not being the overall winner at The Game Awards 2021, Forza Horizon 5 is the game with the most awards in the event. The game is on par with It Takes Two which both have three awards.
On the other hand, NPD says this is the 14th year in a row for the Call of Duty franchise to be the best-selling game on the platform. This is a milestone in itself for the franchise's developers and publishers.
