Casio’s forthcoming G-Shock GW-BX5600, slated for release in 2026, is reportedly being manufactured in Thailand, according to regional certification and manufacturing data.
This aligns with Casio’s strategy of producing entry-level and mid-range G-Shock models outside Japan, primarily in Thailand and China, while reserving Japanese factories for premium and limited-edition models. G-Central G-Shock Fan Site
The GW-BX5600 is expected to retain the square design lineage of the GW-M5610U series but with upgraded internals, including a memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD, Bluetooth connectivity, and Tough Solar charging. Its display will support multiple time zone tracking, including triple world time, and offer several layout options for time, date, and weekday views.
Pricing projections are around ¥30,000 (approximately $220–230), higher than its predecessor GW-M5610U-1JF but still affordable compared to premium G-Shock models.
The “X” in the model’s name could indicate the use of carbon fiber components or signify a new “X” sub-line within the GW-B series, though this remains unconfirmed. Official launch details and pricing are still pending from Casio.
As Casio continues to innovate within its G-Shock lineup, the GW-BX5600 is poised to offer enhanced features while maintaining the brand’s signature durability and design.
