Gigabyte has recently launched its highly anticipated eGPU, the Aorus RTX 4090 Gaming Box. This accessory boasts an Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU, complete with Gigabyte's innovative Waterforce liquid-cooling technology, providing an exceptional high-end graphics performance for laptops. The device is specifically designed to cater to the needs of gamers and content creators who require powerful graphics capabilities on the go.

Equipped with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, the Aorus RTX 4090 Gaming Box seamlessly integrates with laptops featuring Thunderbolt 3 or 4 ports, as well as those equipped with USB 4.0 ports. This broad compatibility ensures that users can easily harness the device's remarkable potential, regardless of their laptop's specifications.

The graphics box is powered by an 850W power supply boasting a commendable 90% efficiency rating, guaranteeing optimal sustained peak performance. With dimensions measuring 189 x 302 x 172mm, the Aorus RTX 4090 Gaming Box flaunts an elegant matte black finish, accentuated by a striking single Aorus RGB logo on the front panel. The design incorporates ventilated top, left, and right side panels, enabling efficient airflow and ventilation. Although the liquid-cooling system handles the bulk of thermal management, these additional measures further enhance the overall cooling performance.

The Gigabyte 4090 box offers an array of convenient rear and front I/O options. The rear side features three DisplayPort 1.4a connections, a single HDMI 2.1a connector, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, an ethernet port, and a Thunderbolt 3 port that is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 ports, as mentioned earlier. Moreover, the front panel houses a user-friendly USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port.

A standout feature of the Aorus RTX 4090 Gaming Box is its rear Thunderbolt 3 port, which supports power delivery of up to 100W. This functionality allows users to conveniently charge their laptops while simultaneously utilizing the immense processing power of the graphics card and its supplementary dock-like connectivity.

While the Aorus RTX 4090 Gaming Box has started hitting retail shelves, Gigabyte is yet to officially disclose its pricing details. Enthusiasts and tech-savvy consumers eagerly await this announcement, as the product's exceptional performance and comprehensive feature set indicate a premium offering in the eGPU market.
