Home Assistant has announced the release of version 2025.11 of its open-source smart home automation platform, introducing a range of user-focused upgrades and new integrations. The November update builds upon last month’s improvements to the automation editor and dashboard design.

A highlight of this release is the new target picker feature, which allows users to view the exact device and area associated with a particular entity. This aims to simplify automation setup, especially in homes with multiple identical devices. The automation editor itself also receives refinements, including a larger font and dual-pane layout for easier management of triggers, conditions, and actions.

According to the official changelog, users can now customize how entities are displayed on dashboards, combining identifiers such as entity, device, area, or floor. A new pie chart option for the device energy graph has also been added, providing an alternative to the traditional bar view.

Version 2025.11 expands integration support across several ecosystems. It introduces new compatibility for Actron Air systems, iNELS smart home devices, and Nintendo’s Parental Controls. Improvements have also been made to the SwitchBot integration, which now supports garage door openers, and the Yardian Smart Sprinkler Controller, which gains binary sensor functionality.

“This update continues our focus on making automation more intuitive and flexible,” the Home Assistant development team said in a statement. The full list of changes for Home Assistant 2025.11 is available on the company’s official blog.
