How to register TikTok Lite account

TikTok Lite is a lightweight version of the TikTok app. This application is indeed more friendly for smartphones with low specifications because it only has a size of 21 MB, which is lighter than the regular TikTok application which is 76 MB in size.

Not only that, TikTok Lite's data consumption is also less than the regular TikTok application. Apart from the size of the app, one of the other differences is the duration of the recording.

TikTok Lite can only record videos with a maximum duration of 60 seconds. Whereas on regular TikTok, users can create or record videos with a maximum duration of up to three minutes.

The file storage size of TikTok Lite also doesn't take up too much storage, which is only 182 MB.

TikTok Lite also has more limited features than regular TikTok, one of which is in the privacy menu.

TikTok Lite users only have three options namely “block others”, “private account mode”, and “allow certain people to search their profile”.

Although it has some differences, users can still enjoy and create various video content with the same features as regular TikTok, such as the availability of effects, stickers, music, and so on.

Currently, TikTok Lite is only available on the Android platform. While on the iOS platform, this application is not yet available.

If you are interested in using TikTok Lite, here summarizes the steps on how to register an account.

How to register a TikTok Lite account

  1. Download TikTok Lite app on Play Store
  2. Click the profile menu at the bottom of the screen
  3. Click “register”
  4. If you already have a regular TikTok account, you can select “sign in with TikTok. If not, select “another login method” to register
  5. Choose an option to register, whether phone number/e-mail, Facebook, Google, etc. In this tutorial, we will use the phone number option.
  6. Enter date of birth, click “next”
  7. Enter the phone number, then click “send code”
  8. Enter the code sent via SMS
  9. Create a password of 8-20 characters consisting of letters, numbers and symbols
  10. Create a username, click “register”
  11. Done, your TikTok Lite account has been created.

For appearance, both have a similar appearance (User Interface/UI), such as tabs consisting of Home, Search, Upload, Inbox, and Profile.

However, there is a slightly different part, namely the Inbox TikTok lite icon is in the shape of a lightning bolt, while the regular TikTok icon carries an envelope icon. That's a review of TikTok Lite and how to register an account. I hope this helps.
