Keychron has unveiled its B1 Pro , positioning it as a cost-effective competitor to the Apple Magic Keyboard. Unlike traditional mechanical keyboards, the B1 Pro opts for scissor switches similar to those found in Apple’s offering, priced at approximately 137 euros on Amazon.

Designed with Mac users in mind, the keyboard features macOS function keys for intuitive control over volume, music playback, and screen brightness, mirroring familiar MacBook functionality.

Incorporating both Windows and macOS key labeling, with official support extended to Linux, the B1 Pro supports simultaneous connectivity to three devices via Bluetooth 5.2. ‘s promotional materials highlight the versatility of the keyboard, showcasing it connected to an iPhone, iPad, and Mac simultaneously.

Alternatively, users can opt for a 2.4 GHz USB dongle boasting a 1,000 Hz polling rate, enhancing connectivity options.

Notably, the B1 Pro foregoes backlighting to optimize battery life, boasting an impressive 1,200-hour runtime. According to Keychron, this translates to a recharging need every eight months under typical usage conditions of five hours per day. Keychron’s customizable software enables users to reconfigure keys and assign macros to suit individual preferences.
