Apple’s iPhone lineup in 2026 is expected to narrow to two main flagship models, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside the company’s first foldable device, according to recent leaks and analyst reports.

Industry sources say Apple plans to introduce a clearer separation between its Pro devices and the upcoming iPhone Fold, with no standard iPhone 18 model likely to be released this year. Consumers seeking a new iPhone in 2026 would therefore need to choose between the higher-priced Pro models or the foldable variant, with regular models expected to return in 2027.

Leaks suggest the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will adopt a “punch-hole” display design similar to those used by several Android manufacturers, while Face ID sensors are expected to be placed under the display. The familiar “Dynamic Island” feature is also expected to remain, though rendered prototypes indicate it will be hidden within a much smaller cutout positioned on the left side of the screen.

Color options for the Pro models are still under testing. According to reports attributed to analyst and content creator John Prosser, Apple is evaluating several new finishes, including brown, purple and burgundy red, though the final selection has yet to be decided.

Other expected upgrades include Apple’s first 2-nanometre processor, widely referred to as the Apple A20, and a new in-house C2 modem intended to replace Qualcomm components. Analysts have also pointed to possible additions such as satellite-based 5G connectivity and a variable aperture main camera, though these features have not yet been confirmed by the company.
