List of the first Chromebooks to support Steam

Together with Google’s intention to start marketing Chromebooks with higher specifications for gamers, they reportedly already have a definite schedule regarding the availability of Steam on Chrome OS.

The date has not been announced, but at least information about the list of the first Chromebooks that will support it is available. The Chromebooks are as follows:

  1. Volta – Acer 514 (CB514-1H)
  2. Volet – Acer Chromebook 515
  3. Voxel – Acer Chromebook Spin 713 (CP713-3W)
  4. Delbin – ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5500)
  5. Drobit – ASUS Chromebook CX9 (CX9400)
  6. Elemi – HP Pro c640 G2 Chromebook
  7. Lindar – Unknown/unreleased Chromebook from

Google also seems to have set a minimum for Chromebooks, which is to have at least an 11th Gen i5 or i7 processor with a minimum RAM of 7 GB as a condition to be able to enjoy Steam there. These are of course high specs that will only be available on mid and high-end Chromebooks.
