Genshin Impact creators, miHoYo, are reported to have opened headquarters in Singapore on Monday (18/7) for their metaverse subsidiary, HoYoVerse. Later, this head office will be joined by headquarters in several other countries for the company’s global expansion plan.
So far HoYoVerse is known to have four other headquarters around the world. This includes offices in Montreal, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seoul and most recently Singapore.
According to the official HoYoVerse website, the Singapore office will serve as the main base for global publishing and operations. In addition, the company said, this office will also assist in game development through the technology support they have.
“Our team in Singapore will play an important role in expanding our global development and service network,” said Forrest Liu, co-founder of HoYoVerse, as quoted from the company’s official website.
Furthermore, the Singapore-based office is planned to be the basis for several of the company’s executive teams. This office will be used to provide high quality entertainment services worldwide.
HoYoVerse revealed, this new head office will implement a flexible working model. This is done to cultivate a global mindset and create a more inspiring workspace in the future.
“We want more creative talents from diverse backgrounds to join us in building the future,” added Forrest Liu.
Based on information, the Singapore-based office is the fifth headquarters to be built outside the home country of video game developer Genshin Impact. This office stands on an area of 28,000 square feet and is the first head office in Southeast Asia.
