MSI has just officially announced two Prestige series thin and light business laptops measuring 16 inches. The two laptops are the Prestige 16 and Prestige 16 Evo models, which are equipped with Intel Alder Lake-P processors and feature an Urban Silver chassis with dual fan cooling for quiet operation.
The non-Evo variant features a 16-inch Mini LED-based display panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and an aspect ratio of 16:10. This display panel is quite bright because it is equipped with DisplayHDR 1000 certification and also offers a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
While the Evo model, reported by Gizmochina (18/8), has a Full HD + resolution screen that offers 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. However, this model does not have HDR certification.
Another difference between the two laptops lies in the graphics card. The premium variant has an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU option, while the Evo model only has the integrated Iris Xe GPU. In addition, both laptops offer an Intel i7-1280P processor, 32GB LPDDR5 RAM, and a PCIe 4.0 X4 M.2 NVMe SSD.
The laptop is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 connectors with DisplayPort and charging modes, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI video output, combo audio jack, and a microSD card reader. Other features include a white backlit keyboard, 82 Wh battery, fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, Full HD webcam with IR sensor, and an AI-powered array of noise-canceling microphones.
