Netflix will reportedly expand the catalog of game titles on its platform through the end of this year. This information is known from the latest report by The Washington Post via Eurogamer.

Quoting from Android Police, Friday (29/4/2022), Netflix has plans to bring more than 30 game titles in 2022. The number is based on reports that the company will have 50 mobile game titles on its platform for this year.

As for now, the number of game titles on the Netflix platform since it was first introduced is 13. Therefore, the additional number of games the company will release has reached 30 game titles.

Based on sources familiar with this plan, Netflix is said to be quite open to presenting mobile game services on its platform, but also opens up other strategic opportunities in the future. In fact, the company is also reportedly considering other opportunities from video games.

However, information regarding the lineup of new game titles that will be released by Netflix has not been revealed. Currently, there is only one game that has been announced to be released in May 2022, namely Exploding Kittens.

To note, since last year, Netflix has begun to focus on working on a line of mobile games on its platform. As a form of seriousness, the company acquired a number of game developers.

Most recently, the streaming service provider has acquired a game developer from Texas, United States, Boss Fight Entertainment. Game studio Boss Fight Entertainment was founded in 2013 by David Rippy (CEO), Bill Jackson (CCO), and Scott Winsett (COO).
