OpenAI said it has launched its low-cost ChatGPT Go subscription globally, expanding a plan first introduced in India in August 2025 as part of efforts to broaden access to advanced artificial intelligence tools.
The company said ChatGPT Go has since been introduced in 170 additional countries, making it its fastest-growing subscription offering. Strong adoption and daily use for tasks such as writing, learning, image generation and problem-solving influenced the decision to make the plan available worldwide.
“ChatGPT Go telah diluncurkan di 170 negara tambahan, menjadikannya paket kami yang pertumbuhannya paling cepat,” the company said in its announcement.

From Wednesday, ChatGPT Go is available wherever ChatGPT operates. In the United States, the subscription is priced at $8 per month, with local pricing adjustments in selected markets. The launch brings the number of global ChatGPT subscription tiers to three: ChatGPT Go, ChatGPT Plus at $20 per month, and ChatGPT Pro at $200 per month.
ChatGPT Go is positioned as a lower-cost option offering expanded access to OpenAI’s latest GPT-5.2 Instant model, including higher limits for messages, file uploads and image generation, as well as longer memory and context windows compared with the free version.
