Oura, a leader in the smart ring market, has unveiled a new ceramic collection for its Oura Ring 4, introducing a fresh design option alongside its existing titanium models. The release marks the first time the device has been offered in ceramic, available in blue, white, pink and green.
The ceramic variant weighs more than the titanium version, ranging from 5.1 to 8.1 grams depending on size, compared with 3.3 to 5.2 grams previously. Despite the change in materials, the interior structure remains titanium, and the ring retains its water resistance up to 100 meters. Features are unchanged, including sensors for heart rate, blood oxygen, and skin temperature, as well as activity and sleep tracking.
In a statement announcing the launch, Oura said: “The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is designed to provide a deep shine and vibrant colors, offering users a new way to personalize their health technology.”
The company also introduced a portable charging case as an optional accessory. Measuring 5.6 x 5.5 x 1.7 cm and weighing 60 grams, the case can recharge the ring up to five times without requiring the bulkier home charging station.
Oura continues to position its wearable as a health and lifestyle device, but many of its advanced features, such as detailed insights on stress, cardiovascular health, and menstrual cycles, remain accessible only with a $5.99 monthly subscription.
