Qualcomm has officially introduced its latest chipset which will be used in the latest flagship smartphones throughout 2022. However, several vendors that will use the chip for the first time, including the realme GT 2 Pro series, are expected to release it before the end of 2021.
In the next few weeks, consumers will get the release of a second smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. Realme itself has confirmed that it will release a truly premium flagship smartphone. Previously, realme had indeed released devices such as the realme GT Master Edition series, the realme GT Neo2, to the realme GT that used the Snapdragon 888 chip. But when it came to the throne of the “flagship killer”, it had a more affordable price.
Comes in Two Different Screen Options
The naming of the realme GT 2 Pro itself has been confirmed directly by the CEO, Sky Li through a tweet from his personal Twitter account at the end of last November. Not long after, a render photo appeared showing the latest realme smartphone. Looks very different with the camera module that is made wide and prominent.
Following the render photo, Gizmochina exclusively leaked the futuristic-looking front view of the realme GT 2 Pro. The reason is, in addition to the very thin screen edge bezel, the photo which is predicted to be a prototype product (prototype) shows a full-screen design, without a punch-hole camera visible at the top. So where is the front camera located?
A source from Gizmochina said that the realme GT 2 Pro will come in two different options; with a punch-hole camera, or using an under-display camera technology. This method is exactly what Motorola did. And quite reasonable, because even though it is futuristic, UDC still cannot produce photos equivalent to conventional cameras, thus sacrificing quality.
realme GT 2 Pro Has the Big Storage Memory
After the photo, another photo of the front of the realme GT 2 Pro appears which shows part of the screen down. This time it was uploaded by one of the information leakers who had a very good reputation, namely Ishan Agarwal. Through his Twitter account, he uploaded a photo containing some interesting information which also confirmed the leak from the Digital Chat Station.
In addition to confirming the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the realme GT 2 Pro which has the code name RMX3300 will run realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12. The RAM capacity itself is 12GB, with the option of adding virtual RAM from 3GB. The most interesting is the information related to storage, which is up to 1TB.
Meanwhile, another leak from the Digital Chat Station states that the realme GT 2 Pro will carry a 6.7-inch wide screen. the resolution is also the highest, up to Quad HD + AMOLED complete with LTPO type panels. So the refresh rate can be very adaptive, up to the highest value reaching 120Hz.
For the camera setup, it is reported that the front camera of the Realme GT 2 Pro will have a high enough resolution of up to 32MP. Then for the main camera, it will have a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, ultra wide-angle with the same high resolution, and equipped with a telephoto sensor whose specifications are still unknown.
