Rockstar Games is adding new roles to its video production team, a move that could indicate fresh promotional material for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is on the way, with a possible trailer release before the end of the year.

The highly anticipated title is set to launch in May 2026. So far, Rockstar has released only two official trailers despite the game being announced nearly two years ago. The most recent trailer debuted in May, five months after the first.

A new Rockstar Games job listing has been spotted for creating trailers released online, on social media, on TV and in Cinema.

The vacancies were spotted by GTA 6 Countdown and shared on X. Rockstar New York is seeking a Narrative Video Editor and a Motion Graphics Artist for its marketing division. The video editor role focuses on “trailers and video assets released online,” including social media posts and commercials. The graphics artist position will support the same department by producing 2D and 3D content for marketing campaigns.

While the listings do not directly mention GTA 6, Rockstar described the projects as “some of the most rewarding, large-scale creative projects to be found in any entertainment medium.”

Given the eight-month window before GTA 6’s scheduled release, industry watchers see the hiring activity as a likely signal of a broader promotional rollout. The first trailer arrived in December 2023, followed by the second in May this year after a 16-month gap.

The game is scheduled for release on May 26, 2026, initially on consoles, with a PC launch expected later.
