Wearable tech company Rogbid has entered the children’s smartwatch market with the K1, a GPS-enabled device designed to prioritize child safety. The K1 is now available for $69.99 as part of a launch promotion through the company’s official online store.
Developed for families seeking basic yet reliable safety tools, the K1 includes real-time location tracking using a combination of GPS, LBS (Location-Based Services), and Wi-Fi. Parents can monitor their child’s whereabouts and location history via a dedicated app, with the watch also offering two-way voice and video calling over 4G networks.
“For safety, the K1 uses triple-mode location tracking — GPS, LBS, and Wi-Fi — which parents can access through a connected app,” the company stated. A dedicated SOS button allows children to send an emergency alert with a single press, triggering immediate contact with their guardians.
Additional safety-focused features include IP67 water resistance to handle outdoor use and an 800mAh battery that supports up to seven days of standby time, reducing the need for frequent charging. The watch also includes a camera for remote video check-ins and supports call blocking for unknown numbers.
Available in pink, blue, and black, the Rogbid K1 ships with a strap, charging cable, and user manual. While modest in terms of features, the K1 represents a growing trend among wearable makers to integrate core child safety functions into accessible, low-cost devices.
