The Sony brand, which unfortunately has not been officially released for the Indonesian market, is still often presenting its newest smartphone products.

Last year, it introduced the Sony Xperia 5 III, and this year 2022 is expected to release its successor with the Xperia 5 IV.

The latest news says that this device will later carry the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset from TSMC, not take it from Samsung.

This is interesting, because so far the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset on the market is the one manufactured by Samsung. In other words, Qualcomm opens up the possibility of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant from another manufacturer in the future.

As for other specifications, the Sony Xperia 5 IV will use a 6.1-inch screen with a Corning Gorilla Victus coating for the screen and rear body.

As generally featured from the Sony Xperia series, it provides a main camera setup with a 12 MP Sony IMX557 sensor 1/1.7″ 1.8 m pixels, which is combined with a 12 MP IMX663 1/2.93”, 1.22 m telephoto lens, and a 13 MP IMX363 ultrawide sensor. 1/2.55”, 1.4 m.

The Sony Xperia 5 IV will also have a 3.5mm audio jack, with a 4500mAh battery. This product is rumored to be present in the Chinese market with a price range of CNY 5,000.

For now, unfortunately there is no more complete information regarding the Sony Xperia 5 IV. And what is certain, it is very unlikely that this smartphone will also be present in Indonesia in the future.
