Spotify has a feature that is predicted to be a competitor to Clubhouse. Namely Spotify Greenroom, which has now been renamed.

The music streaming platform has renamed Spotify Greenroom to Spotify Live. Not only changing the name of the feature, Spotify also brings its features into its main application.

Spotify Greenroom, which will be named Spotify Live, was first launched in 2020. This feature is intended as a message Clubhouse to Twitter Spaces.

This application allows users to join conversation rooms with a capacity of up to 1,000 people, as reported by Variety, Wednesday (13/4/2022).

With this new name, Spotify Live still appears as a separate app from the main Spotify app. However, its features are now integrated into regular Spotify.

Users can still access live streams of podcast hosts or music artists in the Spotify app.

To celebrate Spotify Live’s rebranding, the company will host a live stream of the new album “Paradise Again” by popular house band Swedish House Mafia.
