Activision is expected to release two Call of Duty games in 2022, namely Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Fans have been speculating about a Call of Duty release date, as the company has not provided any information. However, recently Activision confirmed the game will be released this year.

During Activision Blizzard's financial report quoted from GameRant (4/8), Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is planned for release this year as an extension of the Modern Warfare universe. Meanwhile, Modern Warfare 2 will be the most ambitious launch in franchise history, according to Activision.

In addition to these two titles, the developer also plans to bring the Call of Duty: Warzone experience to a small screen. The company is reportedly developing a mobile gaming version of the game.

While it didn't specify a launch date, the company confirmed the game will release this year, saying the development team is “in a good position” to launch all three games.

“The expanded Activision studio also continues to make strong progress in innovative mobile experiences that will expand Warzone to the largest and fastest growing platform,” Activision said. “Across the Call of Duty ecosystem, the team is well positioned to support this launch with substantial live operations while also continuing development of new premium content planned for 2023 and beyond.”
