Volkswagen has begun accepting orders across Europe for its new e-Transporter DoKa, an all-electric flatbed pickup truck based on the Ford E-Transit chassis. Targeted at commercial and fleet customers, the DoKa offers a combination of passenger space and cargo functionality.
Unlike the design-forward ID.Buzz, the DoKa is built for utility. The vehicle features a 3,500 mm wheelbase and an overall length of 5,613 mm, enabling a cargo bed suited for tools and equipment. Volkswagen says the truck can carry a payload of up to 785 kg and tow up to 2,000 kg, making it a viable option for worksite demands.
“The DoKa is a proper workhorse for transporting both crew and tools,” Volkswagen noted in its product announcement. With a dual-row cabin, the electric pickup accommodates up to six adults.
The vehicle delivers up to 210 kW (280 hp) and 415 Nm of torque, with expected range figures around 280 km (175 miles) per charge based on WLTP estimates. While battery details have not been officially confirmed, the truck is likely to use Ford’s 64 kWh pack, offering 10–80% charging in approximately 30 minutes via DC fast charging.
The e-Transporter DoKa is now available starting at €52,208 (approximately $60,500), excluding VAT and customization options. Volkswagen has not yet announced availability outside the European market.
