WhatsApp has been in the news for the past few months. This is because the chat application has introduced new features and is in great demand for its Beta version.
The company recently confirmed that many new features are coming to WhatsApp such as increased file size, emoji reactions, and the ability to hide the last seen of certain contacts.
Reporting from Gizmochina (23/4), now reports surface that WhatsApp will start rolling out an update to the iOS version that includes calling up to 32 people, an updated calling interface, waveform format, and other improvements. This update is coming to a live build of WhatsApp on iOS.
To date, WhatsApp has allowed users to make group phone calls with multiple people at the same time. Voice conversations in groups previously could handle up to eight people, but WhatsApp is now rolling out a new update that allows up to 32 participants.
Voice calls of up to 32 people can be made in WhatsApp groups. The platform has also modified the way participants are displayed on the screen to suit additional members. Waveform images are used to signal WhatsApp users who are in a conversation.
This new feature comes with the updated version 22.8.80 and is 109.7 MB in size for iPhone. Android users are also expected to get a similar update soon with these new features, but they won’t be available on the desktop client.
