Xiaomi 12 Lite is finally officially launched July 9, 2022 for the global market. The phone boasts a 120Hz OLED display, a 108MP main camera, and a very competitive price tag.

The 12 Lite is the successor to the 11 Lite 5G NE and inherits the 6.55” AMOLED display with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. However, unlike its predecessor, now the punch hole is in the middle. The new panel adds support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

The processor used is Snapdragon 778G, which is built on a 6nm process. The device has 2 variations of 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

On the back, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has a 108MP main camera with a Samsung HM2 sensor and an f/1.9 aperture. Next to it is an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro camera.

The selfie camera is equipped with a 32MP Samsung GD2 sensor and an f/2.5 aperture lens. Equipped with AF and many software features, including Selfie portrait mode and Xiaomi Selfie Glow.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite has a 4,300 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, and the adapter is in the box. It is like any other Xiaomi 12 smartphone which is available internationally. The smartphone has dual SIM support with dual 5G standby, but availability may vary between markets. The user interface is MIUI 13, based on Android 12.

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi 12 Lite include 5G, USB-C port, 3.5mm jack, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Xiaomi 12 Lite, which was originally thought to have four color variants, turned out to be only three, namely Black, Pink, and Green in three memory levels. The 6/128 GB variant costs US$ 400, 8/128GB US$ 450, while the 8/256GB variant costs US$ 500. Pre-orders begin July 9, 2022 via Xiaomi's official online channel.
