Xiaomi has announced a highly anticipated launch event scheduled for July 19th at 7:00 PM CST, where it will unveil a lineup of new products, including the Xiaomi Buds 5. The event promises to showcase advancements in audio technology and expand Xiaomi’s product portfolio.
The Xiaomi Buds 5 are expected to focus on delivering enhanced audio quality, with Xiaomi highlighting support for lossless audio that promises “natural sound.” This suggests a significant upgrade from its predecessors in audio fidelity.
Promotional posters reveal that the Xiaomi Buds 5 will feature a semi-in-ear design akin to Apple‘s AirPods, with a new addition of a striking Titanium Gold color option. The earbuds will be available in Moonlight Black, Snow Mountain White, Frost Blue, and Titanium Gold, catering to varied aesthetic preferences. The charging case design has been subtly revamped, adopting a more rounded rectangular shape compared to previous models.
Previously, the Xiaomi Buds 4, launched in 2022, featured a semi-in-ear design with IPX54 water resistance, active noise cancellation, and support for Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification using the LHDC 5.0 transmission protocol. It included a graphene-dual magnetic dynamic driver for rich audio, 360-degree spatial audio, and a transparency mode for enhanced situational awareness. The earbuds offered up to 6 hours of playback per charge, with the charging case extending total playback to 30 hours.
