Pocketpair has announced a crossover between its survival game Palworld and retro-inspired shooter Ultrakill, introducing themed gear and weapons from the latter title. The collaboration comes as the studio prepares for Palworld’s planned 2026 full release.
The update was revealed on Sept. 23 through Palworld’s official social channels, accompanied by artwork featuring Ultrakill’s protagonist alongside one of Palworld’s creatures. The addition adds to a series of content expansions aimed at sustaining player interest during the game’s early access phase.

Earlier this month, Pocketpair signaled it would reduce public updates in 2025 to concentrate on technical improvements and stability fixes. The studio has said the 1.0 release will feature substantial new content while addressing ongoing gameplay issues.
This marks the second major collaboration for Palworld in 2025, following its earlier partnership with Terraria, which drew more than 120,000 concurrent players on Steam. The Ultrakill tie-in underscores Pocketpair’s push to position the title as a live-service platform ahead of its full launch.
The company also faces ongoing patent disputes with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company over creature capture mechanics. Despite the legal challenges, Pocketpair continues to expand the game’s reach through crossovers and community-driven updates.
