Zepp Health has begun offering a new modular wearable component in the United States, expanding its Amazfit Helio lineup with a sensor-only device aimed at customization and cost savings. The new product, called the Helio Core, is priced at $70 and is positioned as a flexible alternative to traditional smartwatches.
The Helio Core builds on the concept behind the Amazfit Helio, which the company describes as “a wearable that does not sport a display and therefore may be less distracting during workouts.” Like the Helio, the new module is designed for users who prefer minimalism or need a device that can be worn in environments where conventional smartwatches are restricted, such as some sporting competitions.

Unlike standard wearables, the Helio Core is sold as a standalone sensor unit without a strap or charging base. The device includes its own processor, internal storage and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing it to collect and synchronize fitness data. Zepp Health offers the module in three color options—FireCore, SpiritCore and NeonCore—but buyers must purchase compatible accessories separately.
The company has not clearly defined the target audience for the Helio Core, though it may appeal to users interested in integrating the sensor into custom setups or proprietary wearables. Potential use cases include attaching the module under a sweatband, to a phone strap or even to the leg during strength training sessions.

Zepp Health has not announced plans to release the Helio Core outside the United States, nor has it provided pricing details for other markets. The Amazfit Helio Strap, which can be used with the module, is currently sold separately for $99 on Amazon, underscoring the company’s modular approach to wearable design.
