Samsung Electronics said it has signed an exclusive global partnership with guitar maker Fender to bring a television-based version of Fender Play to Samsung smart TVs, marking the first time the music education platform will be available on TV screens.
Under the agreement, Samsung TVs will host a dedicated Fender Play experience starting in 2026, allowing users to access video-based instrument lessons directly from their television. The companies said the move is aimed at making music learning more accessible by integrating it into everyday home entertainment.

“With video-based lessons on Samsung TVs, learning an instrument fits naturally into daily life and helps players reach goals faster,” Hun Lee, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics’ visual display business, said in a statement. He added that the partnership would turn “the largest screen at home into a place to learn and play together.”
The TV-based Fender Play platform will offer guided learning paths for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass and ukulele. Users will also be able to select lessons by skill level and access song-based tutorials, while a Jam Mode feature will allow players to perform along with curated backing tracks displayed on screen.

Samsung showcased a live preview of the Fender Play TV experience at CES 2026, highlighting interactive elements designed to create an immersive learning environment. The company said its long-standing position in the global TV market would help support consistent picture and sound quality for the service.
Fender said the partnership aligns with its broader goal of expanding access to music education worldwide. “We are thrilled to bring Fender Play’s immersive learning experience to Samsung TV users,” said Cliff Kim, vice president of growth strategy for digital products at Fender and president of the Fender Play Foundation, adding that the collaboration would allow players to learn and practice directly through their televisions.
